Has my Hotmail account been hacked?

Hi, my name is Lori and my friend, Pegah, has found out that her hotmail account has sent out emails to all of her contacts without her knowing. The email says: “Hey How are you doing? I ordered a white 3GS Apple iPhone from a good website — [[link removed]] — much cheaper but brand new and genuine! You can check it if you would like.

How can I debug a Japanese-language Google search?

On our site: soysource.net I have added the sample code from your website (see Add a Google Search to your Website ) to the bottom of ours, I customized it into Japanese a bit. If I search something in Roman characters like “Hiroshi”, I can get a number of hits. However, when I click on one of the links, it takes me to the splash page of the site and not to the actual page I was searching for

How Can I Comment On My Facebook Fan Page As Myself?

We have two admins to a fan page (for a mothers of twins club) and were wondering how we could comment on our fan page as ourselves and not as the page admin? Every once in a while it would be better for us to interject a comment as ourselves versus the admin.

How do I enable "emoji" on my iPhone?

I got a text from a friend of mine, iPhone to iPhone, and darn if she didn’t have all sorts of cute little icons in her message to me. When I asked how she did it, she said “emoji!” I have no idea what that is or what it means, but I really want to be able to respond in kind ASAP.

Why is my MacBook Pro suddenly running hot?

This is weird, but all of a suddenly my MacBook Pro is running really hot and the fan keeps turning on. Not a big deal, but I’m used to it being quiet and smooth without ever even being aware of its temperature. Is there a power supply problem, as my Dad suggests, or is it something else going on

How do I send a TXT message like "HAITI" to a numeric shortcode on my iPhone?

I’ve been hearing a lot about how the American Red Cross has raised millions of dollars in relief funds for the Haitians through people “texting ‘HAITI’ to 90999″ but I have an iPhone and I know how to send text messages to my friends by finding them in my Contacts app, but how do I send a text message like that to a non-phone number numeric code [they're called "shortcodes" in the industry, btw --Ed]?

How do I delete cookies in Microsoft Internet Explorer?

I’m becoming paranoid about people tracing what I do online and have decided that one proactive step I can take is to delete all of my “cookies” in MSIE [Microsoft Internet Explorer]. Will that work, and if so, how do I delete these pesky cookies?

How do I view the full headers of email in MSN Hotmail?

I like to explore how email gets from one place to another and sometimes make sure that it’s really from who I think it’s from, so I like to dig into the arcane Received-By: and other headers that are atop an email message I get on MSN Live/Hotmail. Problem is, that’s not so easy.

Every so often I go to download some software for my Acer Windows PC and have to decide between a 32-bit and 64-bit version of the application. I’m running Windows Vista but when I look, it just says that I’m running “Home Premium”. How do I know if I’m running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows?

Review: "TrailerSpy Mobile" for the Apple iPhone

If you’re big into movies, TV or other media, you already know that more and more shows and productions are getting short movies to advertise them, “trailers” that you can now even find for books and video games (though you’re not likely to see those in a movie theater). I write a film blog too, so I pay close attention to trailers for upcoming movies, which is why the Apple iPhone app TrailerSpy Mobile [iTunes link] caught my interest.

Review: Nikon Coolpix P90 Compact Digital Camera

I’ve been a mostly casual photographer for more years than I can count, starting with cheesy little cameras and working my way up through Konica gear to Nikon, the gold standard in the world of professional photographers. Today I take photos, sometimes paid, mostly just for fun, with a Nikon D90 tricked out with a full set of additional Nikon gear, about $2500 worth, plus or minus a few hundred dollars. The results are quite pleasing and I have photos all over the walls of my home, photos that I took, mostly of my children
