Goa State dams flowing to full capacity
Incessant rains, which the state witnessed recently, have lead to the Selaulim dam overflowing after crossing the 41.150-metre mark. However, there is no threat of floods to the residents living in the vicinity. An official in the water resources department said that the dam is overflowing as there are no gates to release the water in river.

Goa roots for Portugal in World Cup football
Legendary Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama would be a proud man if only he could come back from beyond to Goa’s shores once again, with the erstwhile Portuguese colony in the throes of World Cup football fever these days. Like in the case of most World Cup and European Cup tournaments before 2010, Goa has painted itself red and green, the colours of the Portuguese national football team. Thousands of fans, both lithe athletic youngsters and generously pot bellied, beer swilling mavericks, flaunt Cristiano Ronaldo-style football jerseys with equal ease

Voip to Replace my Cellphone
I am desperate to stop paying for a cellphone plan, they’ve gotten out of control, and I wont sign another contract, mine just ended. I am a student and live in and work in areas with constant wifi connectivity and shouldn’t be on the phone when I’m driving anyway. However this is absolutely the hardest subject I’ve ever tried to google.

Goa: 12.5 tonne mango ‘crush’
It is not often that tonnes of mangoes are crushed under a bulldozer and on Saturday, the Mormugao Municipal garbage yard at Headland Sada was filled with the golden liquid. Officials of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) destroyed nearly 12.5 tonnes of artificially ripened mangoes that were seized from three different storehouses at Khariwado shore, Vasco, around three days ago. A bulldozer crushes the artificially ripened mangoes at the Mormugao Municipal garbage yard at Headland, Sada. Two truckloads of Neelam class mangoes were dumped at Mormugao Municipal garbage yard at Headland, Sada, and were later crushed under the wheels of a bulldozer. After obtaining an order from Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), the FDA crushed the mangoes that were declared unfit for human consumption.

Nokia E72 over VoIP
Using SIP I set up a voice over IP call between two E72 models using two accounts at SIPgate service provider. I had to configure SIPgate account settings: compatibility “on” and ensure call routing was only to VoIP phones. Then, using Nokia’s SIP settings client from Forum Nokia, I disabled all voip speech codecs except wide band AMR and the call succeeded
Not sure this is very useful for everyday telephony (wide band AMR codec is not inter-operable with G722 which is more common), more for curiosity..

Judge recuses himself from Pacheco’s bail plea in Goa
Former Goa minister Mickky Pacheco’s bail plea in the case relating to his 28-year-old alleged lover’s death, could not be heard on Friday as a Bombay High Court judge recused himself from the hearing. In his bail application before the Panaji bench of the high court, the former tourism minister says that it is a “witch hunt” against him because of his “frank and forthright” comments on scams in departments directly governed by the chief minister and the home minister. Pacheco, who is ‘on the run’ along with his key aide Lyndon Monteiro, has said that he would be subjected to “third degree” treatment if he was arrested by the police

Going nuts with SPA3102 behind an existing router
I don’t see an error in the instructions you received. Another way to solve your problem of attaching the SPA3102 and your computer to separate ports on the router would be the following which would setup the SPA3102 to use DHCP from the router: With SPA3102 not cabled, reset the SPA3102 to factory defaults with the IVR.

The relatively virgin beaches of southern coastal Maharashtra are no threat to beach tourism in Goa, at least not in the immediate future, a top tourism trade official said Friday. Secretary of the Goa Mineral Ore Exporters Association (GMOEA) Glen Kalavampara said a string of conveyor belts may be the answer to increasing pollution and accidents, which occur as a result of transporting ore by trucks from extraction sites in the hinterland to shipping points along the coast.

Talkswitch and Polycom Soundstation 7000
While attempting to configure a Polycom IP Soundtation 7000 with our Talkswitch, we discovered that the best way to make this work was to tell the Talkswitch that we had a Polycom 650, then use a TFTP client to retrieve the config file (nammed MacAddress.cfg), which pointed us to a second config file (phone_MacAddress.cfg) which contained the information we needed to configure the SoundStation through the menu. The main settings we had to set were the Registration server, Proxy server, and Auth UserID and Password. From the config file below, you can see that they use the first 6 digits of the MAC address + the extension number for the username, and the last 6 + the extension for the password.
