The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and the Indian Market Research Bureau (IMRB) , jointly, carried out a research recently and concluded that the number of active Internet users in rural India is expected to rise to 5.4 million in 2010 – a staggering 30% increase since 2008.

RCom’s Debt Increases, With The Loss Of Deal

Reliance Communication , one of India’s leading telecom companies in India, is in a spot of bother as their debts are rapidly increasing. It was a known fact that RCom had plans of cleaning these debts by the selling its 26 per cent equity to Etilasat and tower assets to GTL . Since the tower sale is cancelled, RCom is planning a new strategy for reducing its Rs 33,000 crore debt.

OpenId Brings Yahoo And Google Closer?

Creating a new Google account has now become a one-click-process for Yahoo users, thanks to Google’s decision to use of OpenId for authentication purposes. Though Google still doesn’t support the usage of OpenId for replacing passwords on its own sites but this new feature brings the ability to use OpenId for the Google signup process.

It is a known fact that Nokia is in troubled waters and trying hard to come out of the ditch it has dug for itself. Few years ago, Nokia was way at the top, but things changed after the introduction of the smartphone. PayPal Electronic Withdrawal Service Resumes in India

Just three days after PayPal decided to discontinue electronic transfers in India and dismayed its Indian customers, Paypal has decided to reverse its decision. Dickson Seow from the PayPal Communications team posted on the official PayPal blog that Indian users can perform electronic withdrawals right now as they did before. Going the extra mile to serve its customers, the company has also decided to still provide the US$5 processing fee refund for any cheque withdrawals made from July 29 until further notice
