You don’t have to wait for Google to update your Nexus One OTA
As readers here know I am quite happy with my Google Nexus One and have been using multi-touch with the Dolphin browser. On my train commute home I read all over Twitter that Google started rolling out an update for Nexus One owners that was also reported here on ZDNet by Sam and Jason. It took forever for me to get the last update sent over-the-air to my T-Mobile G1 so I immediately started looking for ways to get the update done manually

Still Only 50 Calls/Day for Subscriptions?
Hi guys- Does anyone know if Skype still only allows 50 calls per day when dialing with a country subscription? The reason I’m asking is that I’ve tried using Skype with predictive dialing (small call center), and basically could only use the subscription for half a shift before Skype started deducting from our business control panel balance.

Nokia-based Rubik’s Cube solver
Mindstorms Rubik’s Cube solvers are a dime a dozen, but David Gilday’s bot offers two cool twists (sorry) — first, it solves a 4×4 cube rather than the classic, ordinary 3×3 cube. Second, and cooler, rather than relying on the NXT Intelligent Brick to do the heavy lifting, it uses a Nokia N95 mobile phone that sits in a cradle above the cube, scanning it with its camera and solving the puzzle. Nexus One Update Brings Pinch-to-Zoom, Chrome OS Tablet Gets Conceptual — The Competition!
According to our sibling site, Android Central, in the wake of Apple’s iPhone 3.1.3 update and new iPad hardware, Google issued a Nexus One software update of their own — one that enables multitouch pinch-to-zoom in the built in apps like the web browser, maps, and gallery. Oh, and there’s also a coincidentally timed Chrome OS tablet “concept” making the rounds. We’re being more than a little facetious in linking Google’s Android updates and Chrome OS concepts to any iPhone and iPad news.

So, after the ambiguous posts of “BewareOfBroadvoice” and the ever decaying state of their website makes me wonder that they are circling the drain and will die unexpectedly. If we assume they may be pulling a SunRocket, or that we’re tempted to open up to the free market, how do the following providers line up: Lingo or ViaTalk?

4th Generation iPhone Code Named N89; iPod touch G4, N80
Enagdget tipsters, digging deep into the iPad ’s iPhone 3.2 SDK and iPhone 3.1.3 firmware , have found more evidence of the 4th generation iPhone (likely to ship this June/July) namely it’s code name — N89. Buried way inside the platform simulator lies a set of folders dedicated to specific models of iPhone OS-ready devices, including the iPhone 3GS, second generation iPod touch, something called the “K48″ (yep, the codename we were told was the internal name for the iPad), and… the “N89.” Sure, it sounds like a Nokia phone just waiting to happen, but this is — according to our extremely knowledgeable and trusted sources — likely the codename of the next iPhone (previous versions were called the M68, N82, and N88). There’s also news on the 4th generation iPod touch as well (likely to ship this September): Apple’s just released firmware (3.1.3) also includes another new model, the “N80,” which we’re told will most likely be the next version of the iPod touch
